Project Summary
In fast-paced motorsport environments and luxury car launches, the setting needs to reflect the quality and attention to detail of the vehicles on display. We were tasked with designing and furnishing hospitality suites and Paddock Club-style seating that felt modern, refined, and well-suited to the event environment. Creating a lounge area in these temporary structures requires a balance of deep-seated comfort and a sleek, industrial look that resonates with a high-profile audience.
The space was designed to allow guests and VIP ticket holders to relax between sessions while staying connected to the energy of the race. The layout was divided into dedicated zones for viewing and networking, creating a balance between comfort and a clean, structured setup.
To bring this to life, we incorporated key pieces such as the Endless 2-Seater Sofa for sleek, durable seating, along with cocktail tables and James Bar Stools placed throughout the networking areas.
The final setup felt put-together and contemporary, aligning naturally with the pace and style of the automotive setting.

Objectives
The main goal of this project was to move beyond standard event furniture and deliver a premium hospitality experience. The client wanted a space where corporate partners could network in a high level of comfort while surrounded by design elements that complemented the sleek lines of high-performance vehicles.
A key part of the design was to create a flexible layout that could accommodate both large groups and private conversations. We incorporated the Bonaire L-Shape 6-Seater to provide expansive, comfortable seating banks that allowed guests to watch the action together without feeling crowded. Every F1 VIP lounge area we designed aimed to provide a sanctuary from the high-octane environment outside.
Lighting and social hubs were also a priority. By integrating the Bauhaus Corner Lit Bar, we created a luminous focal point that transitioned the suite from a daytime viewing deck into a sophisticated space for an after party once the engines stopped. To bring it all together, we mixed low-level lounging and high-seated networking areas to keep the energy flowing throughout the race weekend.

Design Dilemma
F1 and automotive events often take place in high-density areas where space is at a premium, and the brand identity must be established quickly. We had to manage the shift from natural daylight during the race to the atmospheric requirements of a nighttime reveal. Every piece needed to feel cohesive, ensuring the furniture did not look mismatched with the surrounding technical setup.
Lighting played a critical role in this transition. We needed a solution that provided a warm glow without the clutter of cables or generators. The use of cordless LED lights on tables and as perimeter markers allowed us to define the space while maintaining a clean, cable-free environment that was safe for high-traffic guest movement. Providing reliable lighting for sporting events was a logistical necessity to ensure the safety of VIP guests during evening transitions.

Finally, movement was a factor. We needed to ensure a smooth flow between the bar area and the viewing decks, requiring furniture that felt premium yet thoughtfully arranged to avoid any sense of crowding.
Solutions and Execution
The design was based on a modern, minimalist palette of greys, whites, and blacks to let the automotive engineering take centre stage. The space was split into tiered viewing areas and social lounges, using the Ipanema Coffee Set to create intimate pockets for private discussion amidst the roar of the engines.
For the higher-traffic networking zones, we used the Linea Cocktail Table with its clean black frame to provide a sturdy yet elegant surface for drinks and appetisers. We also paired the cocktail tables with black Ted Bar Stools, offering a sleek, ergonomic seating option that maintained the tech-forward look of the paddock. For the final evening celebration, we adjusted the layout to accommodate the energetic flow of the after party crowd.

The layout made use of the modular nature of our collection to wrap seating around the perimeter of the hospitality suites. By mixing low-profile sofas with elevated bar furniture, we created a layout that felt open and well-connected. This made it easy for guests to move between the bar and their designated viewing seats. Also, this variety in height and function made the space feel well-structured and suited to the scale of international sporting events.
Results and Feedback
The space made a strong impression on both the organisers and the guests. Many noted that the lounges' residential-style comfort provided a much-needed moment of calm amid the intense sports setting. By providing a high-end, comfortable lounge area, the suite encouraged guests to stay longer and truly engage with the automotive showcase.
By using vibrant led lights to accentuate the car displays, we ensured that the evening portion of the event felt as prestigious as the race itself. The final result was a hospitality environment that supported the prestige of Formula 1 and met the high standards expected at major sporting events.
Both organisers and guests agreed that the paddock setup became a standout feature of the weekend, particularly during the transition to the final after party celebration. The strategic addition of high-impact LED lights completed the atmosphere, ensuring the nighttime reveal was as visually stunning as the daytime racing.
